The open day at ExtraEnergy in Tanna, Thuringia, Germany, on May 24, 2014, promises a grand pedelec experience Alongside with pedelec test rides, and guided tours through the World’s largest Light Electric Vehicle exhibition the audiovisual presentation of Iceland Challenge will take the audience on an unforgettable Pedelec Adventure.
On 24 May 2014, ExtraEnergy invites to come to Koskauer Straße 100 in 07922 Tanna. Highlights of the event include pedelec test rides from 10.00 a.m. to 4 p.m, guided tours through the Light-Electric-Vehicle museum at 10.30 a.m. and 1.30 p.m. and multi-image audiovisual entertainment by Pedelec Adventures at 1.00 p.m. The doors are open from 10.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m.
Audiovisual entertainment through ice and fire
Susanne Brüsch, journalist and head of Pedelec Adventures will take the audience on an absolutely unique journey on electric bikes. The destination will be Iceland – a country shaped by fire and ice, bright summers and dark winters. The adventure trip will lead through breathtaking scenery and pose completely new challenges for electric mobility. This is what the Pedelec Adventures team experienced in midsummer 2013 when the four adventure-proven pedelec pioneers faced the elements of the North while traveling four weeks and 4000 kilometers through Iceland’s amazing landscapes.
Light-Electric-Vehicle evolution
At 10.30 a.m. and at 1.30 p.m., Hannes Neupert, president of ExtraEnerg e.V., will inform on past, present and future developements around LEVs. Visitors are warmly invited to ask questions on pedelecs and e-bikes, batteries, safety and the ExtraEnergy Pedelec and E- Bike Test.
Pedelec test rides
The guided tours through the LEV Museum will be followed by a guided pedelec tour on the ExtraEnergy test track in Tanna. In addition, pedelec test rides on the organization ́s ground will be offered from 10.00 a.m. to 4 p.m. The famous local butcher „Reinhardt“ will serve original Thuringian Roster. Pedelec test rides, LEV Museum and audiovisual entertainment will be free of charge.
